Life of Sean Christopher Decker

Sean Christopher Decker entered the world on September 2, 1970. He was the youngest of six children born to Bernice and Norman Decker. Sean attended Wichita public schools and later obtained a high school diploma.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan as a child, and his love for the team continued through adulthood.

Sean was a very intelligent and witty person. He was always the life of the party! Everyone knew that if they wanted to have a good time, they had to include Sean. He cherished every moment spent with his siblings, nieces & nephews, and his extended family. His caring and giving nature will never be forgotten. In his adult life, Sean accepted the Lord as his personal Savior, was baptized, and a member of North Heights Christian Church.

Sean was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Bernice Decker, his paternal grandparents, Herbert and Tommy O. Decker; maternal grandparents, Bama Poindexter and Charlie Witherspoon, 12 uncles, and 3 aunts.  He leaves to cherish his memories, sisters: Diane (Barry) Nutt, Gwen (Maurice) Duggins and Veronica Decker, of Wichita, Kansas; Sandra Decker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one brother Norman Decker of Wichita, Kansas; three aunts: Dasie Carter, of Wichita, Kansas; Aretha Stuart of San Diego, California; and Paralee Jones of Sun City, Arizona; two uncles, Ben Witherspoon of Wichita, Kansas; and Floyd Decker of Seattle,Washington; 10 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews, and best friend Thomas Gatewood of Manhattan, Kansas; and a host of relatives and friends.
