Mrs. Charlotte K. McGill after 60 years, "dozed from life to everlasting" on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from Wichita, Kansas.
Charlotte " Kay" McGill was born on April 26, 1959 in Wichita, Kansas to the loving parents of Ella Jean McGill and Willie Armstrong.
Kay attended Wichita Public Schools: Dunbar Elementary school, Truesdell Junior high and later received her GED at Wichita Votech.
Kay was the mother of three, Ashley McGill, Dajuan McGill, and Travis McGill; and she loved to mother ofther and many of our friends called her mamma, and her grandchildren called her "Nana"
Kay Always welcomed our friends into her home as if they were her own children. She loved being a homemaker, She loved to cook and sew. She started sewing at a very young age and was quite the "fashionista" She had a strong spirit and a beautiful heart and a very hard worker.
Kay gave her life to Christ at a young age. She became a member of New Zion Baptist Church, where she sung in the choir. She taught her children to trust in God and even when you don't understand, never lose faith because God has a plan for you.
She was a great mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and aunt to her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ella Jean McGill; father, Willie Armstrong.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter, Ashley (Stacy) Fisher; sons, Dajuan (Marquita) McGill; Travis (Ciera) McGill; special dad, Samuel Woodberry; sister, Sondra McGill; brothers, John (Del) McGill; Ray (Teresa) McGill; Hershel (Annetta) Ricks; and Tim McGill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
