Tonia A. Silmon of Wichita, Kansas departed this life on Thursday, March 5, 2020 peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
Tonia was born on October 16, 1990 in Wichita, Kansas. The oldest daughter of Feliesha Taylor-Green followed her mother and older brother Jeffery to Charleston, S.C. when she was 1 year old. It was when then that she found out that she was one of heavens very special children. Tonia was diagnosed as hearing impaired with special needs. Her educational and therapy journey started when she was only 2 years old. She later returned to Wichita, Kansas, and attended Wichita public schools. She graduated with a diploma in May of 2012. Being hearing impaired and having developmental delays did not stop her from being a successful person in her community. She worked multiple jobs. Everyone who became a part in her life journey fell in love with her.
Tonia loved many activities. But, her favorite one of all was "eating" especially "Hotdogs". If you wanted a fight, just take her hotdogs away! Which made Thanks giving her favorite holiday. She did not discriminate about everyone's cooking or whatever was on her plate. She loved going to school mainly for breakfast and lunch. If she felt like she was not on schedule to get her on her bus, you had a fight on your hand and you would probably lose. She was a fighter, physically, and medical. She overcame so many obstacles that a healthy person could not endure.
